My second time there - this time on a sunday - lunch time. It was packed but they found me a table and served me super quick and with excellent food. Will definitely make it a regular go-to-place.

Das Mariandl Café & Mehr in Spitz ist ein wahrer Geheimtipp für alle, die nicht nur den perfekten Start in den Tag suchen, sondern auch Lust auf authentische, heimische Hausmannskost haben. Bereits beim Betreten des Cafés wird man von der herzlichen Atmosphäre und der Gastfreundschaft von Karin und Thomas begrüßt, die sich wirklich Mühe geben, den Gästen das Gefühl zu vermitteln, zu Hause zu sein. (mit einer perfekten Aussicht auf den Kirchenplatz!) Das Frühstück ist ein echtes Highlight – vielfältig, frisch, mit regionalen Zutaten und liebevoll zubereitet. Hier beginnt der Tag in einem Ambiente, das zum Verweilen einlädt. Doch das Mariandl bietet weit mehr als nur ein gemütliches Frühstück. Wer sich nach einem echten Schmankerl sehnt, kommt hier ebenfalls auf seine Kosten. Die Hausmannskost ist einfach herausragend! Das Schnitzel ist wahrscheinlich das beste, das man in Spitz finden kann: zart, knusprig und perfekt gewürzt. Auch das Gulasch hat absolut überzeugt: Das Fleisch ist butterzart, die Sauce würzig und reichhaltig. Jedes Gericht ist mit viel Liebe zubereitet, und die Portionen sind mehr als großzügig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, man bekommt hier Qualität auf einem hohen Niveau zu absolut fairen Preisen. Ein großes Lob geht an den Koch - der weiß was er tut! Es ist schwer, in Spitz einen besseren Ort für authentische österreichische Hausmannskost auf höchsten Level zu finden (leider gibt es hier viele Anbieter die eher auf Masse statt Klasse aus sind... Pizza, TK Burger und Würstel...). Karin und Thomas schaffen es, nicht nur großartige Gerichte zu servieren, sondern auch eine Atmosphäre zu schaffen, in der man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Wer sich nach einer echten kulinarischen Auszeit sehnt, wird im Mariandl Café & Mehr garantiert nicht enttäuscht (Kirchenglocken kostenlos inklusive ;). Alles in allem: Ein absolutes Muss für alle, die sich von der besten österreichischen und regionalen Küche verwöhnen lassen möchten!

Delicious coffee and desserts and food too, in summer there are tables outside. Every time we visit Spitz, we come in. And everything is always great! There is entertainment for children (board games, books).
